Relishing the Replay

Yeah, it’s great to see that Kaka only kicks it in Adidas and Ronaldo can only chest trap the ball in a Nike Pro shirt, but honestly – how’s that skin-tight tee going to help an overwieght and under-exercised middle-aged American do a lap the field. Gatorade Replay on the other hand – talk about truly supporting the athlete in all of us.

The Replay initiative completely piqued and celebrated that raw competitive emotion that we all lived, breathed and sweat in our high school matches, the ones that we were certain would end in life or death the moment we left the field. Gatorade allowed everyone – the jocks that used to take the field, the drum majors who rooted them on 20 years ago, the cheerleaders that hadn’t done a hurkey in nearly two decades – to rediscover that core of competition, of athleticism, of teamwork, of camaraderie and of heart, no matter how many years (or lbs) had attempted to insulate it since high school graduation.
